Attorney General Ken Cuccinelli’s decision that he would not sign Grover Norquist’s anti-tax pledge doesn’t mean Cuccinelli plans to raise taxes if elected Virginia’s next governor.
“Good grief no,” the attorney general said in a recent interview following his remarks at the Conservative Political Action Conference in National Harbor, Md.
“When we come out with our tax reform proposal, it’s going to be less taxes, not more taxes,” he said. “And we’ll put it on the table during the campaign. People will know what I’m going to pursue before they walk in the voting booth.”
